He’s done it. When the Los Angeles Times purged some of its best, brightest, and long standing staff this summer many of us in the arts community mourned the loss of the best weekly feature: the arts calendar column. Matt Cooper had the great ability to feature large and small regional theatre, music, arts productions and to highlight great programming on TV. His column being axed was such a tremendous deficit to the community.
Many of us were hoping he’d strike out on his own and to our great joy he has. Matt has created a weekly substack. One post for TV listings and one post for all live arts in the region.
